I agree that this isn&#039;t one of my better tips, but not for the reason you mention.  As for the term &quot;crown of the head&quot;, much of the Alexander Technique is counterintuitive and because of that many people try to use their own terms which make better sense to them, but that don&#039;t actually convey the correct meaning.  &quot;Crown of the head&quot; is roughly defined in the image (the green arrow) and more clearly in the text.  What I don&#039;t like about the tip is the term &quot;lead&quot;, which is not well defined and not easily understood. Although it&#039;s still kind of mysterious, I like the headline best: &lt;strong&gt;When walking, don&#039;t leave your head behind you&lt;/strong&gt;.]]></description>
