In the Alexander Technique, to inhibit is to do something as if you are not doing that thing.

What is alexander technique?
Ans@alexander technique is a mindbody technique used to over write the bad dangerous habits with the good habits.
How to achieve this?
Ans@ f.m suggests since our body parts has faulty sense relatively with one another.
He suggests using neck head back legs arms whole parts.
He says that if we try DO them are relate them , then we are doing with old habitual tension only.
He says most of the Do it your self(DIY) may make more harm to the student with out proper knowledge of the technique,
But the good habits(good alex directions) can be only learned by the hands on guidance of an experienced teacher as a whole.
He suggests this procedure.
And he suggests,
after getting the experience under the teacher hands.
and with out doing
the student has to think in the selected daily activities like sit,bend,stand,walk stimulus activities only.
And the student knows when he is doing the technique?
And when he is not doing the technique or some thing else he is doing?
The student has choice, and he not try to do the right thing?
Then this becomes second nature for the student .
And f.m guarentees that, the end may not get today or tommorrow but one day it will be sure.

Notice, a healthy coordinated human head,neck.
This person 99 percent ,not throws his head back and down,and he not shortens his neck in relative to the torso in his daily activities.
The important question to ask here is,
this naturally coordinated human dont know about the alexander technique.but still he is coordinated.

Is preventing the neck from stooping or preventing the shortening of the neck from the daily activities like sit,walk,standing,bending etc, so that the head goes forward and up and the torso moves from the hipjoints forward and backward.

But dont use head,neck by nodding at the neck to express ‘YES’.
Banish the cartoon channels , who are broadcasting the programs for the children.

Ans@ analysing the present directions of the parts like neck, head(jaw,eyes), back( spine curves,ribcage,pelvis),legs(knees,heels,toes), shoulders, arms(elbow,wrist,fingers)……
and sensing the directions and collecting the ‘raw data’ about the parts and doing nothing with the data.

collecting the raw data about the parts of the body.

thinking the ‘alex directions’ based on the raw data, in the activity for getting a whole body satisfactory ‘information’.

1. With out UP , the faulty sense may leads to DOWN unknowingly.
2. ‘BACK’ and ‘BACK and UP’ directions are different.
3. Not thinking of UP means, thinking DOWN.
4. If the back goes to back and up then the back lengthens and widens.
If the back lengthens and widens the back(torso) goes to back and up.
Which are dynamic oppossitions.
What happens when the conscious connectivity lost between (neck head) AND back.

When the head goes to back and down in relation to back?
Ans@ the back goes to shorten and narrowed. Means
the chest raises( more tension which is not normal tension),
the stomach group muscles protrudes(less tension not normal tension)
the pelvis tucks( more tension at the lower back).
The shortening and narrowing makes the torso muscle groups with more or less tension.
Again and again TRAP,TRAP,TRAP.
How much time we can do the right thing?
One hour,
or
one minute,
or
one day,
or
one week
..

If we are doing on general daily basis, like how we eat food daily,
what is the need to do rightly?
Wether we are eating daily 100 grams food weighting it? (this is the right thing)
just project or THINK remember the muscle parts as a whole, alex movemental directional sequence like TAKE IT EASY POLICY.

Confuse the mind,then the mind falls on your feet.
Tweak the unconsciousness.
Trick the unconsciousness.
Fool it.
Play with it.
Give some rest to it.
Do the wrong thing, do the right thing and trick the mind and tell the mind. It will accept alexander directions.
F.m.alexander told , once we have control on the primary movement or primary control, the control or satisfying the rest of the body is a simple matter.
With out inhibition there is no direction.
I think, inhibiting is very hard, compared to directing. Since the direction comes after inhibition.
And the directing comes after the inhibiting.
Including me most of the people are directors, and not so much inhibitors.
I know iam a poor inhibitor, and i pity on myself.
Whether with out inhibition, the direction becomes DOING?
Hoping for the good, once again.
Thorax has ribcage, thoratic spine and the 12 ribs are attached to 12 thoratic vertebrae. I know this.
But,
why iam not thinking front ribcage thorax, back ribcage thorax at a time one after the other and not thinking of whole thorax?

alexander technique is the hardest ever thing you do in our life time. A lot of experience you will get in this process.
I have to believe, and believed,
a change in the body part ,is a change in all the body parts.
The stimulus of bad habit parts, is far stronger than the stimulus to employee the new direction of use.

that to the back lengthen and widen he must put the head forward and up.
Secure the lengths and widths in space , the end may not get to day or tommorrow, it will be sure one day.
We cant separate mind body processes in any activity.
There is no such a thing as right position. A man held with position never grow. The good position today may become bad position tommorrow in the process of reeducation.
The stimulus of new use for a specific part is weaker than the stimulus of bad habitual part with unconscious ness.
Alexander told@ i never told to do any thing , i told them to think.
The end may not get today or tomorrow , but one day it will be sure.
Believing f.m.alexander is equal to doing alexander technique.
I think you are the only one teacher, who is using
Images with ARROW MARKS for specifying directions,
and vedios for explaining the real scenarios.
Alexander told there is no proper posture, but there is proper direction.
Leland val is doing the same thing , by specifying the directions in the form of arrow marks. I think if we remember the arrow marks directions for the different parts of the body and directing with stimulus we can get some sensory from those parts.
Writing bundle of notes is waste since a pupil may not under stand those matter and has a chance of misdirecting.
