Tip 52 – Avoid Pulling the Steering Wheel

To reduce neck tension, avoid pulling the steering wheel.

Tip 52 driving

I hear a lot of questions about excess tension during driving. Generally, the more you pull on the steering wheel, the tighter your neck will get. As always, allow your torso to release back.

  1. Thank you, Leland. I do tend to pull on the steering wheel when, I get tire especially, so I am now reminding myself to lean back and push, creating space in front of me, rather than pulling the steering wheel with my arms.

Thanks for your weekly tips and for responding to this question.

    Regards,
