Tip 7 – Your Spine Is Lively

Think of your pointing spine as lively.

Fountain

The fountain image has come up before in this blog, but in a slightly different context.  For this tip, think of your spine as lively, like a beam of light or a fountain.  Not just a pile of bones, your spine is an event taking place as it points past the back of your head.

  1. Perhaps it is not a question of wrong or right…rather noticing freedom and noticing and then releasing, pausing what “I” do that interferes with an experiencing of freedom, unity, love.

  2. The alexander directions are 4 or 5 or more.
These directions are same in any activity.
If we devide our daily activities , then directions may be,
    1. Walking alexander directions.
    2. Sit(the student already in the chair) alexander directions.
    3. …..directions
    4. ……..directions
    5. ….directions

I think the student has to ask the first question@

    what activity iam doing?

So, the sit, walk alex directions has same priority.

If the student gives more priority to ‘Walk alexander directions’ and forgets the ‘sit alex directions’
then i believe the student is doing some thing wrong.

The walking alex benefit is losing with the sit misdirection.

    So,
hard to believe the student should always be conscious.

Note that you are here learning more about yourself authentically, by generalizing from you BODILY concepts of “right” and “wrong”. By experiencing this self-enriching growth, the AT afficianado gets a peculiarly intimate, valuable, enriching effect on his or her self. It is akin to “religion”, in the best sense of that word. /Arthur Gillman/ arthur.gillman@gmail.com

  6. What is the meaning of ‘wrong’?
Ans@ not right( note: if i know what is right, else the judging of wrong is a delusion)
what is the meaning of ‘right’?
Ans@ not wrong( note: if i know what is wrong, else the judging of right is a delution)

    ….
I sensed the head is now back and down which is ‘wrong thing’.
How i judged this back and down is wrong?
Since, i know the right thing which is forward and up of the head.

So, if i think the right thing in a wrong position(back and down of head) ,iam doing the right thing.so, i have a choice of doing right thing.
    So,
what is the boundary of head movement with consciousness?
Ans: the space between the forward and up and the back and down of the head.

The wrong thing becomes wrong, when iam not consciousness.
